The name for the Newsletter, Emblem, was chosen among several excellent entries by those present at a regular Detachment meeting, 4 March 2006.
The Emblem is produced every two months and issued in January, March, May, July, September, November. It is given to the members at the regular monthly meeting, emailed and/or mailed.

. If you have a friend who may have a business, ask them if they would like to place a business card in the next six additions for just $36.00. (An individual ad will be a bit bigger than your business card) The expense of putting together the Emblem includes, paper, print cartridge, envelopes, stamps. The detachment needs income to help offset these costs and for the administrative materials and other items of expense that arise to keep Detachment 1228 working through it's Paymaster and other officers.
